Dear Senior Year,
The first activity of the year. Senior Sunrise.
It was about a week ago and was pretty decent, even though I had to wake up at 5-ish (don’t miss that at all). Ever since school started, I’ve been getting to drive my mom’s car around 😝, and I got Starbucks that morning. Very happy about that. I was definitely not going to survive without it, and I’m not even a Starbucks fiend. And goodness, the road I drive on outside my neighborhood gets so DARK. Like there are no lights until you get to the “main road”. Like you get the lights from neighborhoods and businesses you pass, BUT THAT’S IT. However, getting to school is much different.
When I got to school, I had to grab alllllllllllll my stuff. It wasn’t a lot, but it was bulky. I had a stereo/movie screen thing, Uno, my DVDs (of course), and my blanket. We had the whole field to use to watch the sunrise. I put on “Cats Don’t Dance” (one of my all-time favorite movies), but we barely got through the first 10 minutes, which is absolutely fine. We sat, talked, took pictures, and just enjoyed each other’s company. People made the senior frames, and luckily I got a picture with one. IT WAS SO COOL. It was “Tangled” themed, and you could tell a lot of work went into it. To start the year, it was a good event. We were able to where pj’s (we had to change before school started). Later that day, I had to do club rush for drama club. I have never talked so much in my life. Like mouth dry, NO WATER (I forgot my water bottle in class). Standing, no chairs in sight, but it was still good. Handed out a lot of flyers; hopefully, I did entice people to join. I’d be happy if I did. Tho some weren’t as interested, there are definitely a few I think may join. This season I LOVE our selections. Like, this is our first full-length fall play, and we are doing a Disney musical!!! I’m super stoked, but it’s also bittersweet. Like this year, that’s it. Hopefully in college there would be theater, but as a club and not only a major. I would really like that.
As my first senior year post, there is one thing I hope.
I hope senior year is fun, enjoyable, almost movie-esqe. I want to look back on it and smile and feel nostalgic.

I’m so glad you had a good SS. We haven’t had ours here yet but I hope i get to have as much fun as you. CDD is the best movie oat and I know it word for word song for song. You know ball fr. I hope ur future senior activities are just as fun.
